Samsung launches two dual-sim Galaxy Y phones



Samsung has officially announced the latest additions to the Galaxy smartphone series, Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos and both feature dual-SIM support and run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz overlay.

The Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is basically a slightly reworked Galaxy Y. It comes with a 3.14-inch QVGA display, 832MHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 3-megapixel rear camera, microSD card and supports 3G connectivity with HSDPA.


The Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos, builds on the full-QWERTY Galaxy Y Pro. It comes with a smaller, 2.6-inch WQVGA display and the rest of the features is similar to the Galaxy Y Duos except for the smaller display and a physical keyboard.


These new phones will be available starting January 2012. The Galaxy Y Duos will be gradually rolled out to Europe, CIS, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, Middle East, Africa and China while the Galaxy Y Pro Duos will be coming to Europe, CIS, Latin America, Southwest Asia, Middle East and Africa.
