StatCounter: Google Chrome Overtakes Mozilla Firefox Globally for the First Time



StatCounter has just released its latest global report on web browser usage, according to firm's research arm StatCounter Global Stats reports that Google Chrome took 25.69% of the worldwide market up from 4.66% in November 2009 compared to Mozilla Firefox's 25.23% to become the world's second most widely used browser next to Microsoft's Internet Explorer which still maintains a strong lead globally with 40.63%.

StatCounter Global Stats are based on aggregate data collected on a sample exceeding 15 billion page views per month from the StatCounter network of more than three million websites.
